Vale, Sir Sam Neill
We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Sir Sam Neill.
Sam was, of course, one of the world’s most celebrated and beloved actors, but he was also a passionate advocate for people living with blood cancer and a treasured member of our Snowdome community. Through his generosity and warm support, he helped shine a light on the urgent need for better treatments and research for patients facing blood cancers.
Sam brought authenticity, compassion and humanity to this cause. As Snowdome’s Honorary Patron, he used his voice and profile to help others, inspire hope in patients and families, and advance our mission of accelerating lifesaving research and access to innovative therapies.
Our hearts are with his family, friends and all who loved him. We also extend our condolences to the countless people around the world who felt a connection to Sam through the remarkable body of work he leaves behind. Across generations, his performances captivated audiences and secured his place as a legend of the screen.
While we mourn Sam’s loss, we are also immensely grateful for his friendship and commitment to improving the lives of people affected by blood cancer. His dedication to helping others will remain as much a part of his legacy as the extraordinary career for which he was known around the world.
Vale, Sir Sam Neill. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
