Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2025

19 – 25 May is National Volunteer Week and this year’s theme is ‘Connecting Communities’, which encourages us to celebrate the power of volunteering to bring people together.
Snowdome Foundation is incredibly fortunate to have the support of a Board of Directors and various committees that are made up entirely of volunteers.
Mark Inston has been a member of the Snowdome family for eight years.
Originally from the UK, Mark started his career as a British diplomat before travelling to Germany to study law. He then found his way to Australia and has been practicing law here for over 25 years.
Mark is a wonderful example of a volunteer using their professional skills for the benefit of others, wanting to use his legal background to do something worthwhile. First introduced to Snowdome Foundation through Professor Miles Prince AM, Mark has put his skills to good use, sitting on various committees including the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and the Lymphoma Governance Committee, the latter of which he is also Chair. In 2024, he became a Snowdome Foundation Director.
Mark is motivated by “the engagement of the executive, of the Board and, most importantly, our donors – we all have a common purpose and are all so very highly driven to achieve that, namely to help blood cancer patients live longer, better lives. I am as inspired by Snowdome’s purpose and its people today as I was eight years ago”.
