2024 Cannon Family Travel Grant Update | Dr Edward Cliff

2024 Cannon Family Travel Grant recipient, Dr Edward Cliff, a third-year clinical haematology registrar at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Royal Melbourne Hospital, recently attended the American Society of Haematology (ASH) Annual Meeting in California.
Dr Cliff presented an oral presentation on Cell of Origin Differential Efficacy of Polatuzumab Vedotin in Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma as well as two posters focusing on multiple myeloma and second primary malignancies in lymphoma patients. He was also a senior author on two additional posters, one exploring patient preferences in multiple myeloma treatment and another focusing on global access to CAR T cells and disparities between high income countries.
The Cannon Family Travel Grants provide Australian blood cancer researchers with the opportunity to travel to broaden their knowledge, exchange ideas and establish collaborations. Grant recipients bring back valuable insights that can contribute to the advancement of blood cancer research in Australia.
Amanda Jones, Snowdome Board Director and a member of the Snowdome Grants Committee, shared, “Eddie’s insights from ASH reinforce the value of the Cannon Family Travel Grants to support early career haematology researchers. He has presented, engaged, made connections and has shared knowledge via his podcast, Blood Cancer Talks and other avenues.”
