Philanthropy and government partnering together

The Snowdome Foundation is delighted to announce a joint initiative with the Victorian Cancer Agency (VCA) to deliver an innovative Clinical Research Fellowship up to $800K over 4 years which will assist in ‘making hope real’ in the fight against blood cancers.  The Eva and Les Erdi / Snowdome Foundation Fellowship for New Targets in Haematological Malignancies was made possible due to the extraordinary passion from Eva and Les Erdi to recognise life is precious and their inspiration to improve people’s lives.

The VCA has a responsibility for building cancer research capacity and capability across Victoria. One of its main functions is to align and support clinical, academic and research organisations involved in cancer research to maximise patient outcomes.

The aim of the new Eva and Les Erdi / Snowdome Foundation Fellowship for New Targets in Haematological Malignancies is to:

  • provide the opportunity for a blood cancer clinician to develop and sustain a career in research; and
  • encourage research with a focus on new biological targets in haematological malignancies such as epigenetic targets, potential biomarkers, pathway discovery and novel agents.
